Let’s Sing, Just Sing, The Voice, SingStar: The best games to sing at New Year’s!
- Gold medal: Singstar
The great classic of the PS4 and the best for ambiance. Its last physical version was already two years ago: SingStar Ultimate Party and its 30 songs quite lovely, but 100% in English, the leading vocalist brand on PlayStation continues to live well thanks to its free app on the PlayStation Store. The online title library is fat and the interface is really cool. The addition of an application to replace the microphones is a good idea (by the way, everyone copied the idea since). It is simple and effective and it works (almost) every time. Obviously, since the time, we would love an improvement of the interface or better microphones (those of Lips on the Xbox 360 miss us, they would tear everything up!), but Singstar remains a clean and square classic and its library is buried and there to last. The only significant flaw with Singstar is that it only exists on PlayStation. Singstar: Ultimate Party is sold for € 30 on PS4
- Silver medal: let’s sing
Released in October for its second version, Let’s Sing 2017: French and international Hits by Volxer is a good vintage and could well become the reference. The playlist of 30 songs and 15 international titles (the US, whatever) is doing very well its tag of Orelsan Sopra passing by Shy’m and Charlie Path. The interface is simple and fresh: basic game modes (classic, duo, relay) with a “per heart” bonus to check if you know the words of Christophe Maé. New, the game also offers its own Android and iOS micro-app. The arrival of an online title store, to compete with Singstar for example, makes it a considerable challenger that has progressed well since last year. By the way, we recommend the DLC that just came out if you remember the ‘ 80s (who will resist you when you’ve spurred “All Night Long” by Lionel Riche, but yes, who?).
- Bronze medal: The Voice
We were a little disappointed when we first saw “the Voice” on the console. The license is used: at first glance, everything is there from the logo to the soundtrack… But the game modes do not really benefit from the very strong concept of the TF1 show: we pass the Selec’, the battles and the finale without really making the difference with any other song Game. The Voice still gets away with it thanks to its concrete playlist of 35, strong titles that we have not already sung in all the other games: Bieber, Kyo, Avicii after all, this is essential. The Set Set + 2 microphones are sold for € 70 on PS4 and Xbox One and€ 50 on Wii
- Lead medal: Just Sing
We love it so much Ubisoft as necessarily, we were very disappointed. It must be said that the experience begins very badly: where the others offer official and colorful clips, we have here some pretty rotten animations and even the soundtrack often reserves clones for us rather than the original artist, the recognition of the sounds is in addition very random and it is enough to make yogurt or whistle for it to pass. The game features a handful of classic game modes such as “Battle “to face a buddy or” Party” to the ambiance. He also plays the sharing card thoroughly as we can post his own video clips, shot with an app thought for, where to check out those published by others. But do we really want to immortalize our performances? Unless we want to make a career out of the song, we’ll pass the turn, for the stories, we prefer Snapchat. And Just Dance to move his ball! Working again. Available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Recommended purchase price: 40 euros what game will make you sing at New Year?
